The entries are in and the race fields set. A record number of 87 horses will be competing in 19 races at this year’s Tioga County Fair planned for July 7-11 in Owego, N.Y. All of the New York Sire Stakes action begins with a 1 p.m. Post Time on Tuesday, July 7.
Admission to both the grounds and the grandstand will be free for all races. Returning this year will be the Jim Brown Memorial Trot and Pace, joined by the first ever Hulse S. Mead Memorial Race Under Saddle.
Good weather is forecasted to grace this large field of horses and drivers. It all happens on the historic Owego Driving Park’s half-mile track on West Main Street, Route 17C, in the Village of Owego.
