Do you or your club have something you would like to show off at the County Fair? It could be a club demonstration, individual presentation, games, activities, or anything interactive. Visit http://doodle.com/ud9sd4widrtdg8ae to learn more.

Due to the poultry ban, the 4-H office, clubs and the Animal Science, have come up with some ideas to fill the poultry area and give members a chance to show off their hard work.

4H will still hold a poultry showmanship exhibition. No birds will be involved, but they will still dress in show attire and meet with the Judge to talk about their bird. All Poultry youth will create a poster(s) containing a picture(s) and information about their bird(s) that would have been shown and have them on display in the poultry building.

These posters can be registered and evaluated as Youth Building Exhibits if they choose and would be State Fair Eligible.

The poultry area will host a number of activities that all poultry youth will participate in to include a coloring contest, story hour, demonstration videos and live action, carnival type games, and a poultry knowledge contest.

4-H connects youth to hands-on learning opportunities that help them grow into competent, caring, contributing members of society.

Their mission statement is, “A world in which youth and adults learn, grow and work together as catalysts for positive change.”
