Depot Friday Night Series in Newark Valley

On July 3, the Depot in Newark Valley will host Bruce Dedricks’s Little Big Band to entertain with the sound of big band swing, doo wop, rock and roll and pop music. Their musical repertoire is extensive and versatile.

The “big band” sound is something that has been missing in the musical line-up at the Depot, and they are excited to welcome Bruce Dedrick’s Little Big Band to fill that void. This will be The Little Big Band’s first appearance at the Depot but probably not the last.

The Horseshoe Lounge Playboys with Randy Miritello will return to the Depot on July 10. Randy is a hometown star and one the most popular bands to play the Depot.

The Horseshoe Lounge Playboys have played with Arlo Guthrie, Levon Helm, Ricky Skaggs, and opened a concert for Willie Nelson. Their music is described as “acoustic backwoods Americana rockin roots music”. The Horseshoe Lounge Playboys are high energy and the Depot looks forward to their return each year.

Please remember if the weather permits the concerts will be outside, so bring a chair with you. Depot doors open at 6 p.m. and the music begins at 7 p.m. Admission is free and refreshments are available.

The Depot is located on Depot Street in Newark Valley. For more information, visit www.nvhistory.org.

This project is made possible in part with public funds from the NYS Council on the Arts’ Decentralization Program, administered locally by The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes.
