Meth lab found in Waverly 

Waverly Police located a methamphetamine lab in a Clark Street residence on Tuesday afternoon after a “concerned citizen” notified police of a possible clandestine lab in the residence.

Police said when they arrived at 525 Clark St. and checked the residence; they found a lab on the second floor.

Police secured the scene and the Waverly / Barton Fire Department assisted at the scene to mitigate any potential safety hazards, police said.

The Tioga County Fire Investigation Team along with the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team also responded to investigate and clean up the contaminated area, police said.

Police said the multi-dwelling residence has been uninhabited for several months and the property owner is cooperating with police.
