Stray Haven to offer a ‘Critter Camp’

Stray Haven has secured the funds for a Summer Camp for Kids. The camp will run for eight days, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 14-17, and July 21-24.

Stray Haven is accepting applications for children ages seven to 12. This camp will focus on humane education and will include guests such as a service dog trainer, K9 Officer and his dog, an Avian Rescue group, and much more.

This camp is absolutely free, and was made possible due to the generosity of the Floyd Hooker Foundation, in Owego, N.Y.

Catered lunches will be provided daily. Space is limited to 35 campers. Registration forms can be picked up at the shelter, or can be requested via email to strayhavenhs@gmail.com.

The shelter is also seeking a camp counselor for the eight days. This is a paid position, so interested applicants can inquire at the shelter located at 194 Shepard Road in Waverly, N.Y. You can also call (607) 565-2859.
