Friday Night’s Strawberry Festival Block Party in Owego, N.Y. attracted what appeared to be a record attendance. With juggling, the Straw Dawgs Strut their stuff contest hosted by ODOG, a pig roast, beauty pageant, vendors galore, and four bands performing on two stages, it became evident that the Friday night event is growing to the attendance levels seen at Saturday’s main event.
The evening ended with a grand fireworks display that began during the last song performed by Wreckless Marci, who was performing on the stage in the Courthouse Square. To view a video of their performance, visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3IY7ZRLYYs.
The event will continue tomorrow, with the traditional parade beginning at 10 a.m., and then entertainment, plenty of vendors – to include crafts, clothing, food, a bicycle stunt show, and performances on two separate stages for six bands.
