Enrichment Day and Father’s Day at the Binghamton Zoo

The Binghamton Zoo welcomes you and your family this weekend as they highlight Enrichment Day on Saturday and Father’s Day on Sunday.

Enrichment Day will take place on Saturday, June 20 to highlight the sensory, food, and object enrichment that animals receive daily.

The schedule includes a cougar and snow leopard at 10:30 a.m., tortoise racing at 11 a.m., bear feeding and enrichment at noon, otter fish enrichment at 1 p.m., Amur leopard enrichment at 2 p.m., and penguin feeding / enrichment at 3 p.m.

Celebrate your dad on Sunday, June 21 and let him walk on the wild side with the Binghamton Zoo. All fathers will receive free admission on Father’s Day. The zoo will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the last ticket sold at 4 p.m.

The Catatonk Valley Woodcarvers will be putting on demonstrations throughout the day Sunday in the Education Center. Guests will learn about woodburning, woodcarving, and painting techniques that are used to create the beautiful pieces. Penguin woodcarvings will be the focus of the day and will be raffled off throughout the season.

The Binghamton Zoo is located at 60 Morgan Rd. in Binghamton, N.Y. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children ages three to 11. The admission booth is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and the zoo closes at 5 p.m.
