On June 15, 2015 Jennifer Grier, age 37 of Spencer, N.Y. was sentenced in Tioga County Court to 90 days in the Tioga County Jail and five years of probation following a guilty plea to charges of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Felony.
The original charges stemmed from a theft that occurred over a period of time between mid-2008 and March 2014 in which Jennifer Grier was alleged to have stolen money from the Spencer Fire Department while acting in her capacity as treasurer of the department.
According to the Tioga County District Attorney’s office, Jennifer Grier was ordered to pay $51, 843.32 in restitution to the Spencer Fire Department.
Jennifer Grier initially pled guilty to the Grand Larceny charge on Jan. 16, 2015 in the Tioga County Court.
