Owego Little League’s (OLL) Vice President Chris Rieg has some great news regarding Pitch Hit and Run. OLL held a local event with 24 participants on May 3. Several of their champions also participated in the Sectional Round in Binghamton on May 16 and Owego had two sectional champions.
Sarah Terry won the nine to ten year old age group for girls and Talan Schumacher won the nine to ten year old age group for boys.
One great bit of news is that Sarah Terry’s Sectional score was high enough to advance to the Major League Baseball Team Championship, which will be held on Saturday, June 6 at Yankee Stadium.
OLL can’t say how proud they are and wish Sarah the best of luck. If she happens to advance from there she would go to the National Finals at Major League Baseball Star week in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Sarah Terry is the daughter of Steve and Melissa Terry.
