Canduckie Derby to raise dollars for Fourth of July fireworks

The 29th annual Canduckie Derby Race will be held behind the Candor American Legion on Saturday, May 30. New this year will be the activities and times.

Starting at 9 a.m., there will be vendor booths, along with a bake wheel, raffle, food concession and the “Duckfecta” race. Post time is 1 p.m.

Duck tickets are just $5 each with the first place duck winning $1,000, $500 goes to 2nd place, and $250 to the 3rd place duck ticket holder. Over 25 additional spots are paid out as well.

All proceeds go directly for the firework display, which will be held Friday, July 3 at the Candor ball field on Route 96. Tickets are selling fast, so it is recommended that you purchase your ticket prior to race day by calling (607) 659-7123 or (607) 262-0217. You can also stop at the Candor Market on Main Street in Candor.
