Mother’s Day and May events at the Binghamton Zoo

Celebrate your mom by bringing her to the Binghamton Zoo on Sunday, May 10. All mothers will receive free admission as a thank you for everything they do.

Upcoming May events include Endangered Species Day on May 16. The zoo is highlighting their Amur leopard Kalinika and focusing on the danger these cats face in the wild. Learn more about this big cat and take part in activities on this special Endangered Species Day.

Scout Day is May 17. Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts who arrive dressed in their scout uniform get free entry to the Binghamton Zoo. This Scout Day is the Binghamton Zoo’s way to celebrate and support scouts in all that they do and learn. There will also be an activity, to be decided, for scouts to earn a badge (no registration required, small fee to participate).

The Run Wild 5K will take place on May 23. Join the Binghamton Zoo at the Vestal Rail Trail for the 2nd annual Run Wild event. Runners will start at 10 a.m. and walkers will start at 11 a.m. There will be two ZooMobiles and educational displays on the course. There will be a free kids run after the 5K. This is a certified 5K with official results. Register at eventbrite.com (search Run Wild 5K) or print and mail form at triplecitiesrunnersclub.org.
