The Tioga Arts Council is pleased to present the 3rd dance in its 2015 Folk Arts series of round and square dances. Northern Harmony 2 will be featured on Saturday, May 9 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Goodrich Settlement Grange located at 421 Glenmary Dr. in Owego, N.Y.
Northern Harmony 2 has been performing throughout the region for many years. The program will include a sequence of round dances, square dances, polkas and slow dances, each repeated four times. This event is open to the public and a donation of $5 per person is suggested.
This is the 17th consecutive year that the Tioga Arts Council has presented its annual Folk Arts series. The remaining events will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. as follows: June 13 – Jerry Garrison and Country Connection at the Candor Fire Hall;
and Aug. 29 – Alice Detrick with Country Connection at the North Barton Grange.
This program is made possible, in part, with funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
The Tioga Arts Council is open Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
