Service on letting go to take place at UUC of Athens and Sheshequin

Janice Fiore will be giving a service entitled “Holding On, Letting Go, and the Power of Your Story” on Sunday, April 19 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Athens and Sheshequin at 112 North St. in Athens, Pa. The service begins at 10 a.m.

This service will consider stories that we have read or heard, the stories we write, and the stories we live which guide our understanding of the world and our place in it.  Providing personal experience woven with classic storytelling motifs, Jan will share the power of story for welcoming possibilities and change.

Janice Fiore is an educational consultant and founder of Brain Works Naturally. She is also the co-founder of Susquehanna Storytellers and a host of Soup & Stories.

This service will be followed by a workshop from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the church. This workshop, entitled “The Power of Your Story”, will help you to discover ways to find and use images to create a story that energize your potential for sharing with others.

It is open to beginners and seasoned storytellers and there is a $10 suggested donation. To reserve a spot at the workshop, contact Jan at (607) 797-9357.
