The NPL building located on Fulton Street in Waverly, N.Y. was in the beginning stages of demolition on Tuesday, April 14. According to tioga.nygenweb.net, built in 1903, the building once housed Village of Waverly activities, the U.S. Post Office from 1903-1937, The Waverly Sun and several other businesses.
Following a partial roof collapse on Monday, April 6 at the National Protective Legion (NPL) building located on Fulton Street in Waverly, N.Y. while code enforcement and contracting officials were on-site surveying, it was determined that demolition of the historic building was the best option.
