Spring brings ‘Book Talks’

If it is finally Spring, then it is time for the Friends of the Coburn Free Library Book Talk series. This year the talks will be held at the Owego Methodist Church on Main Street (next to the library) in the handicapped accessible Fellowship Hall.

On April 9, Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline will be reviewed by Anne Catalano. On April 15, Max Della Pia will review The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown. Judith Whipple will review Quiet, written by Susan Cain on April 22. The last review, on April 29, will be presented by Orville Wright. He will discuss Bill O’Riley’s Killing Patton.

The Wednesday Book Talks begin at 12:10 p.m. and end at 12:45 p.m., giving one plenty of time to return to work if you are attending on your lunch hour. A light lunch (sandwich and a cookie) is available for a very economical price.
