CCE seeks applications for youth leadership program

Cornell Cooperative Extension Chemung and Tioga Counties are pleased to announce a state-of-the-art training program designed to teach leadership and community service skills. Applications are being accepted from high school students grades nine through 12. The three day goLEAD training will be held May 15 to 17 at Lions Club Badger in Spencer, N.Y.

goLEAD is a state-of-the-art youth leadership training that inspires both adults and young people to engage in meaningful service-learning and leadership skill-building to effect real community change.

The training includes fun, hands on activities, team building exercises, exploration of creative problem solving, development of critical thinking skills, discovery of community needs, a bonfire with s’mores, and a small service project to benefit the local community.

A registration fee of $35.00 is the only cost to participants for three days of training, meals and sleeping accommodations.
