Local youth attends Ranger School

Justin Moro, pictured, is currently attending the SUNY ESF Ranger School in Wanakena, N.Y.

Justin Moro, son of Anthony and Cynthia Moro of Nichols, N.Y. is currently attending the SUNY ESF Ranger School in Wanakena, N.Y. Justin is studying forest technology.

The Ranger school offers the associate’s degree programs of the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (Syracuse).

The Ranger School has a 1+1 design whereby a student attends any accredited college the first year, taking 30 credits of required coursework, and then transfers to the Ranger School for the second year.

Justin attended his first year at SUNY ESF and upon graduating from the Ranger School he will have earned an A.A.S. degree in Forest Technology.

The Ranger School also offers A.A.S. degrees in land surveying and environmental and natural resources conservation.
