Meth lab uncovered in Owego; another resident arrested for loitering

crime-arrest-445x330On Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, Owego Police arrested James F. Decker, 24, and Stephanie M. Rockdashil, 24, both residing in the Village of Owego for 1 count each of Unlawful Manufacturing Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree, a Class D Felony under New York Penal Law 220.73 sub 1, and one count each of Endangering the Welfare of a child, a Class A Misdemeanor under New York Penal Law 260.10 sub 1.

The arrest was made after a domestic incident investigation, which led to the discovery of a Methamphetamine lab. Police executed a Search Warrant and seized several items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

The defendants were arraigned in the Village of Owego Court and remanded to the Tioga County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.

The New York State Police CNET Unit, the New York State Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team, the Owego Fire Department and the Tioga County Sheriff’s Department assisted Owego Police.

Also on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, Owego Police arrested Megan R. Lozada, 20, residing in the Village of Owego for one count of Loitering in the 1st degree, a Class B Misdemeanor under New York Penal Law 240.36.

A Police investigation into a clandestine Methamphetamine lab in the village revealed that Megan R. Lozada had remained in residence with two other individuals for the purpose of using and possessing a narcotic drug.

Megan R. Lozada was issued an appearance ticket to return to Village of Owego Court at a later date.
