T.A.L.L. computer program offers instruction

The Tioga Adult Learning Lab (T.A.L.L.), a computer instruction program of Literacy Volunteers of Broome/Tioga Counties, Inc., in collaboration with Tioga County, is still registering adults to attend basic skills computer classes to be held the months of February and March 2015. All instruction is free of charge and open to the public.

There is still space available for students in the following class: “Basics of Microsoft® Windows, Word & Excel”. This comprehensive class, which covers how to create and organize computer files, create documents like letters, resumes and spreadsheets, will meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings, from 6 to 8 p.m. beginning Feb. 23 and continue for six weeks, meeting at Owego Free Academy, Room 248, Sheldon Guile Boulevard, Owego, N.Y.

Classes also offered in February and March are: “E-Mail Basics”, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24; “The Internet Made Easy”, 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 10; “Social Networking – Using Facebook”, 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3 and Thursday, March 5 (attend both evenings); and “Resume Success”, Tuesday, March 17 and Tuesday, March 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. (attend both evenings).

Students must be pre-registered to attend all classes, and can do so by calling the Literacy Volunteers office at (607) 778-6406.
