A Positive Change Party does not have a personal agenda

Dear Editor,

Once again the time has come for the annual village elections. It is time for you, as a village resident, to vote for the candidate(s) whose main interest is for the betterment of “our” village, not the candidate(s) who is most vocal and has their own personal agenda.  “It’s my way or it’s wrong” is not who we want running our village. Take the time to listen to what the candidate(s) are saying and not try to twist and turn their statements into something that isn’t there.

We need someone who is willing to take the time to delve into all aspects of the village, look at each situation without a biased beforehand opinion. We DO NOT need someone who shouts from the rooftop of what they are told to think and say. We need someone who is willing to listen, someone who will honestly look at all facts, someone who will vote independently on facts and not hysterics.

Do not be fooled by the scare tactics that some candidates are trying to persuade you to believe but take the time to learn the true facts. Vote for the candidate(s) who does not go behind closed doors, who make promises (just to get your vote) that can not be kept, who is open for logical discussion and who is willing to take the hard path if need be.

The A Positive Change Party does not have a personal agenda. They are willing to vote for the betterment of the “entire” village and not just a select section, their vote will be based on facts and not rumors, they do not go into name calling of opponents, they do not rely on scare tactics, and they are willing to listen and work for you, the village resident. They will not be directed by party lines but will vote for the good of the village and its residents.  They care – they live here too, they raise their families here, they shop here. They want the best for “our” village – for everyone, not just a few.

It is time for “our” village to become “ours” once again.  Our village is made up of many residents, streets and avenues, and it is time for the village board to realize this fact and not direct their attention to just a few residents/streets.  We can no longer live in the past and what once was – we NEED to move forward. In order to do this, change is a given. I am tired of our village being ridiculed by surrounding areas because of the pettiness that takes place within. I urge everyone to vote on March 18 for the candidate(s) who wants the village to be a better place for everyone.

My vote is cast for the candidate(s) who listen, who care about “our” village, and wants the best for the “entire” village.

Sincerely,

Sharon Ash
