Richard and Melody Padgett of Newark Valley, N.Y. announce the engagement of their daughter, Cara Nicole Farr to Michael Smith.
The future bridegroom is the son of Ronald Smith of Newark Valley, N.Y and the late Elizabeth Smith. He graduated from Memorial Central School and Houston Community College. Mr. Smith is employed at Choice Events in New York City.
The bride is a graduate of Newark Valley High School and Herkimer County Community College. She attends the Fashion Institute of Technology and is employed at H&M, New York City.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 19, 2015.
