On Thursday, in the Owego Free Academy (OFA) main lobby, senior Adam Blackwell made it official, signing his National Letter of Intent to attend classes and play Division I soccer at Binghamton University.

Blackwell scored 37 goals and had 35 assists in his four years as a varsity player at OFA. He was named 4th-team all state last fall, as well as being named all-conference as a senior. Blackwell was named all-division in both his junior and sophomore seasons, and he was a member of back-to-back scholar-athlete teams. He was a two-year team captain.

In the classroom, Blackwell holds a 93.5 grade point average and was inducted into the National Honor Society as a junior. He serves as an Honor Society tutor, has been a four-year member of Varsity Club.

Other activities Blackwell has been involved with include activities in his church youth group, participation in the Athletic Leadership Council, Basketball (varsity last two), assisting as a coach for travel soccer for youth, and a volunteer referee.
