Tioga State Bank donates over $5,000 to local libraries

Tioga State Bank is proud to announce the donation of $5,500 to local libraries throughout the Southern Tier.

Over its 150 years in operation, Tioga State Bank has consistently given back to the communities it serves.

“Tioga State Bank realizes the importance of our libraries to remain an integral part of the local communities they serve. This was one way we could show our appreciation for the work done by our local libraries,” stated Senior Vice President, Sharon Yaple.

Each library will receive a $500 donation to use towards their needs.

The 11 libraries receiving a $500 donation each are the Apalachin Library, the Broome County Public Library in Binghamton, the Candor Free Library, Coburn Free Library in Owego, the George F. Johnson Memorial Library in Endicott, the Newfield Public Library, Spencer Library, Waverly Free Library, Van Etten Steele Memorial Library, Vestal Public Library, and Your Home Public Library in Johnson City.

In 2015 Tioga State Bank is celebrating 151 years of service to the community. Established in 1864, Tioga State Bank (www.tiogabank.com) currently operates through 11 conveniently located branch offices.
