In partnership with New York State, the American Red Cross is offering a free Citizen Preparedness Corps training session at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, at Your Home Public Library in Johnson City. The session is called Prepare, Respond, Recover: What To Do When Disaster Strikes. The training session is free and open to the public.
A trained representative from the American Red Cross will conduct a session of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Citizen Preparedness Corps Training Program. The program lasts about one hour and provides a comprehensive overview on how to prepare for natural and man-made disasters, and how to respond to and recover from them.
Your Home Public Library is located at 107 Main St. in Johnson City.
