A sad event for Newark Valley residents will possibly take place in the near future.
The Main Street location housing your “Community Thrift Store” may be forced to close their doors at that location due to landlord/tenant issues. The landlord does own numerous properties in the area.
The Lowe family and the “Community Thrift Store” business are fantastic supporters of the Newark Valley Community through donations and gifts over many years while offering inexpensive products. The tenants did not share the dispute specifics with their landlord out of fairness, but all will miss out when the Thrift Store moves out of our area into another community.
I ask you to speak to the landlord; encourage her to solve the dilemma so the business at that location may continue. Please shop at all local businesses.
