In a release received Thursday evening by the Office of Senator Tom Libous, it was noted that the Senator will call on the New York State Gaming Commission and its appointed Gaming Facility Location Board to reconsider the Southern Tier’s two applications for the fourth authorized casino license.
The meeting will take place on Friday. The Owego Pennysaver will be on-hand to report this latest effort.
On Wednesday, the Gaming Facility Location Board selected Lago Resort and Casino in Tyre, N.Y. Awarding one of the “true” Southern Tier projects would significantly assist the economy.
