Owego writer R.W. White, author of seven books including Susquehanna Scandal and Hotbed in Tranquility, will be launching his newest title, Sweet Vines and Bitter Fruit, at the Endicott Visitor Center, 300 Lincoln Ave., Endicott, N.Y. on Sunday, Dec. 7 from 2 to 5 p.m.
Second in a planned trilogy featuring amateur sleuths Ben and Francesca Hamilton, the novel is set in the Barossa wine country of South Australia. The author will be present to sign copies of this new book as well as any of his other titles. Refreshments will be served, including a sampling of Australian wines. No registration is necessary.
The following weekend, White will present a free workshop on self-publishing at the Coburn Free Library in Owego on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Writers interested in learning more about the self-publishing process are invited to bring specific questions as White shares his experiences and insights into publishing books in both print and e-book formats.
