The Candor Community Chorus will usher in the season with their concert, “Guide Me Home for Christmas Day” on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. in the Candor High School Auditorium, Academy Street.
The program celebrates the holidays with selections ranging from contemporary pieces such as “All I Want for Christmas is You” and “The Christmas Song”, to Handel’s “And The Glory of the Lord” from The Messiah.
Dave Jackson directs the hour-and-a-half program accompanied by Brenda Yeier at the piano. Some of our pieces are accompanied by flute, brass quartet, and other instruments.
Admission is free, but the chorus gratefully accepts donations to support their music library and scholarship program. At the end of the program there will be a raffle for two decorated wreaths.
