The holidays are upon us! The Black Cat Gallery invites you to visit on Friday, Dec. 5, for “Lights of the River” festivities and shopping, and artists’ demonstrations and letters to Santa.
Demonstrating the art of needle felting this Friday night, is the Black Cat artist for December, Donna Townsend.
Townsend likes the feel, color, and moods of textiles, with wool being her favorite. Townsend enjoys the ease of crochet and knitting, which can be done almost anywhere, making traveling and waiting in line more enjoyable. She also does needle felting, taking wool roving and using a barbed needle to sculpt the wool into fabulous creations. Come see Townsend’s felted Santas and snowmen and watch her demonstrate needle felting during “Lights on the River” at the Black Cat Gallery.
“Letters to Santa” can be written and posted at the Black Cat Gallery.
