Massachusetts based, Firefly is the featured band (with caller Sarah VanNorstrand) for the 4 to 6 p.m., Nov. 16 Contradance with some Square dances at Tioga Trails Café, Owego.

The band consists of: Cedar Stanistreet on fiddle, Rebecca Bosworth-Clemens on clarinet and special guest Tim Ball of Ithaca filling in for Bethany Waickman on guitar. Firefly showcases a contemporary approach to New England musical traditions, and creates an exciting, joyous sound that catches both your ears and your feet. Layered, dance-driven arrangements and fiery performance are at the heart of their commitment to playing great, powerful music.

General admission is $7, students and seniors (55 and older) is $5, and family maximum is $15.
