Nichols resident charged with sale of marihuana to Tioga Central High School student

On Nov. 4, 2014, members of the New York State Police arrested a Village of Nichols resident for the sale of marijuana to a Tioga Central High School student.

Investigators with the State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and troopers assigned to the State Police Owego barracks arrested Cole W. Duffek, 22, at his residence Tuesday morning.

Cole W. Duffek, of Nichols, N.Y. was charged with Criminal Sale of Marijuana 2nd degree (sale of marijuana to a person less than 18), a class D felony.

State Police began the investigation at the request of administrators with the Tioga Central High School, who assisted with the investigation. The sale of marijuana did not take place on school grounds.

Cole W. Duffek was arraigned before Town of Nichols Justice Charles Quick and committed to the Tioga County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash / $20,000 property bond.
