After being displaced after the flooding in 2011, and commuting to a temporary school in Endicott, N.Y., students from the Owego Elementary School were welcomed back to Owego on Jan. 6, 2016, and upon the opening of their new school.
The students were escorted from Fifth Avenue in Owego, and then around the main campuses on Sheldon Guile Boulevard and back into their new school lot. There, the students were welcomed by teachers for their first day of classes at their new school.
