OWEGO — The Tioga County Legislature on Tuesday made several appointments and reappointments ahead of several expiring terms at year’s end.
Legislator Ron Ciotoli was appointed to the county IDA with the retirement of Legislative Chair Marte Sauerbrey, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
County Economic Development and Planning Director Brittany Woodburn was reappointed to the Southern Tier East Regional Planning Development Board for an additional four-year term ending Dec. 31, 2029.
County Economic Development and Planning Deputy Director Meagan Schnabl was appointed to the Broome-Tioga Workforce Development Board through Dec. 31, 2028.
County Community Development Specialist Marley Norton was appointed to the Rural Economic Area Partnership Board of Directors for a term ending Dec. 31, 2027.
Land Bank
Ralph Kelsey was reappointed to the Tioga County Property Development Corporation (land bank) for another three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2028.
Joan Case and Mike Baratta were reappointed to the Tioga County Property Development Corporation for two-year terms ending Dec. 31, 2027.
Agriculture
Legislators Jake Brown and Tracy Monell were appointed as directors of the county’s Soil and Water Conservation District for one-year terms ending Dec. 31, 2026.
Tom Zorn was reappointed as the Tioga County Farm Bureau representative to the county’s Soil and Water Conservation District for a three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2028.
Nichols dairy farmer Paul Campbell was appointed to the Tioga County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board, replacing Pam Moore, for a term ending Dec. 31, 2029.
Howard Visscher’s tenure on the County’s Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board was extended for an additional four years, ending Dec. 31, 2029.
Planning Board
Grady Updyke was reappointed to the county planning board, representing Barton, for another three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2028.
Joe Budney was reappointed to the county planning board, representing the Town of Spencer, for another three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2028.
Doug Chrzanowski was reappointed to the county planning board, representing the Town of Tioga, for another three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2028.
Vicki Davis was reappointed to the county planning board, representing the Town of Richford, for another three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2028.
