The Annual Shakespearience Project Night took place on June 3, 2025 at Spencer-Van Etten High School and welcomed over 150 parents, students, and community members to experience the Renaissance Festival atmosphere and events that took place.
The project night was part of a five-week exploration of William Shakespeare and his time including the reading and drawing of “Romeo and Juliet,” the writing of acrostics and sonnets, the selection of a topic to become an expert with, and a product and poster board depicting that topic. The option to select and work with a partner was given.
Fun ensued throughout the project while acting the play out in class, creating the products, and researching the topics that varied from food to weapons, torture to architecture, music to catapults, and theater to medicine/diseases.
