Eighth year for GLN Leadership Program for teenage girls is open for registration

Global Leadership Now (GLN), an amazing leadership program opportunity for teenage girls, is now open for registration. This year marks the 8th year that young women will have the chance to grow their leadership skills and leave as GLN 8 graduates.

The mission of GLN is to empower future female leaders to be a change maker for themselves, their community, and their world. By building self-confidence, creativity, self-worth, and passion, leaders are given the opportunity to reach their full potential, while inspiring others to do the same.

The creator of GLN, Penny K. Bartlow, stated, “GLN is an exciting opportunity for girls ages 13 to 18 to develop leadership skills and feel empowered to make a difference.”

Girls will be engaged in the possibilities for their life, the opportunities they have today, and the belief that they can be successful leaders. The core components focus on the foundation of leadership skills, awareness of the global state of women, and empowerment to make a difference.

The sessions will be held at the Owego Elks Lodge, located at 223 Front St. in Owego, on Monday, July 6 to Wednesday, July 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

GLN 8 is sponsored by Elks, CASA-Trinity Inc., A New Hope Center, WEBO, and PKB DESIGN LLC. Tuition is $49 for the entire three-day program, including lunch and snacks. Scholarships are available for students in need.

This program will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registration is advised.
