In response to Governor Cuomo’s recent announcement that casinos and movie theaters in New York State will remain closed while the state government continues to review the requirements for a safe reopening, Tioga Downs Casino Resort made the business decision to re-close their hotel doors to the public and is no longer taking reservations.
Tioga Downs Casino Resort, located on West River Road in Nichols, N.Y., originally re-opened their hotel doors on Friday, June 26, in anticipation of the casino being allowed to re-open with Phase 4. With Governor Cuomo indicating last week that it will be some time before casinos are allowed to re-open, Tioga Downs Casino Resort made the decision to cease hotel operations until there is a better understanding of when they can also re-open the casino.
While the hotel will be closed to the public, guests can still enjoy PJ Clarke’s Restaurant, both outdoors on the patio or inside with responsible socially distant seating on Fridays and Saturdays, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., as well as on Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. There will be a limited menu, and entertainment will also be provided on the PJ Clarke’s patio on Saturdays from 6 to 9 p.m.
