Members of the Waverly Rotary Club celebrated 100 years of community service with chicken dinners, a cornhole tournament, and some special guests last Saturday in East Waverly Park.
New York State Senator Fred Akshar (R-52) presented a proclamation while Sharon Murphy from U.S. Rep. Tom Reed’s (R-23) office recognized the club’s achievement. Other special guests included Owego Rotary Club member Orville Wright, a past district governor; past District Governor Jeff Smith of Endwell and current District 7170 Governor, David Bensley.
