Stray Haven Pet of the Week for the week of June 23, 2019

My name is Shelby and I’m always smiling my big toothy grin for every person I meet (with what teeth I still have). I truly am the happiest dog you’ll ever meet and when you see me in person you could melt into my amber colored gorgeous eyes.  

I often spend time up front in the lobby area with staff because I’m the best greeter out there and have a wiggle butt tail wag for everyone!  I’m also housetrained and very respectful in the home. I’ll pretty much do anything for treats!  

Even though I’m an older gal (eight years young), I do love to play and especially roll around in the grass, smiling all the time! But after that, I love to take a nice long nap, so I don’t need much exercise to keep me happy.  

There’s just one thing – I do prefer to be the only pet. I can see other dogs and cats when I’m out on my walk or at the park, but I’m a little set in my ways and like to have my home be just me and my people. I just know there is someone out there for me!

I am spayed, up to date with my shots, micro chipped and ready to go. And because I’m the Pet of the Week, my adoption fee is waived this week! If you are interested in adopting me, please call Stray Haven (607) 565-2859 and set up a time to meet me or just stop in during our open hours.

Adoption fee for adult dogs is $160 and includes a microchip, up-to-date Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella vaccines, and spay/neuter at Stray Haven’s clinic.

Adoption fee for cats is $75 and includes up-to-date Rabies and distemper vaccines, FIV/L testing and spay/neuter at Stray Haven’s clinic.

Visit Stray Haven Humane Society, 194 Shepard Rd. in Waverly, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from noon to 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
