The 2019 Tioga County Republican and Democrat Primary elections take place on Tuesday, June 25, from noon to 9 p.m., with candidates up for multiple positions in towns across the county to include Owego, Candor, Tioga, Barton, Nichols and Richford. All primary contests are for the Republican Primary except for Richford, which is a Democratic Party contest.

To vote, one must be registered in the party having the primary. To view a map of polling locations and districts, visit the Tioga County Board of Elections website, www.tiogacountyny.com/departments/board-of-elections/.

The Town Owego will be voting in two new Councilmen. Candidates are Jonathan Marks, Paul Conti, Kristina Burger Marcocci and Barbara Roberts, incumbent. 

Depending on your district, Owego voting locations include the Campville Fire Station, Living Water Baptist Church, Owego United Methodist Church, Owego Town Hall, Apalachin United Methodist Church, and the Park Terrace United Methodist Church. 

The Town of Candor will be electing a new Town Clerk, two new Councilmen, and a Highway Superintendent. Clerk candidates include Nancy Leonard and Connie M. Dence. For Councilmen, James Brixey, Matthew C. Crowne, and James Douglas are vying for one of two seats. Kevin Noble and Judith Krebs are up for Highway Superintendent. 

The Candor Fire station and the Weltonville Fire Company have the polls open for the Town of Candor. 

Tioga will be voting on a new Justice and Highway Superintendent. Miranda Fisher and Michele Shelly Bogart are running for Justice, while Russell E. Story and Tony Middendorf are running for Highway Superintendent. 

To vote in the town of Tioga, go to the Loyal Order of Moose #1595 or the Tioga Town Hall. 

Barton will only be voting for the Highway Superintendent position. Candidates include Chris Spaulding and Frederick W. Schweiger, Jr. 

Depending on district, vote at the Waverly Village Hall, the Lockwood Fire Department, or the Barton Town Hall. 

The Town of Nichols is also electing a Highway Superintendent, and candidates William Heveland and Jordan Douglass will be vying for that appointment.

The Nichols United Methodist Church will hold the polling location for the town. 

Richford will be voting in two councilmen from the pool of William E. Stell, Janet Jordan and Cynthia J Herrick, all democrats.

Vote in Richford at the Richford Town Hall.
