The Town of Candor will be holding a tire and scrap metal cleanup for Town of Candor and Village of Candor residential households on Friday, June 21 from noon to 4 p.m. and on Saturday, June 22 from 8 a.m. to noon. The collection will be held at the Town Highway Garage, located at 33 Humiston St. in the Village of Candor.
This event is held to minimize the potential areas for mosquitoes to reproduce and to reduce health-related problems transmitted through insects and vermin, and to assist in beautifying the Town of Candor.
Up to four tires per residential household will be accepted at no charge (up to 19-inches); after the initial four there will be a fee of $2 per tire.
Tires on rims will be taken at no charge and will not be included in the four tire limit. Rims should not exceed 16-inches, that is the maximum.
Clean scrap metal will also be accepted at no charge.
Proof of Town of Candor, Village of Candor residency is required.
