The AARP Tax-Aide program in Tioga County is looking for new volunteers. If you’re interested in making a difference in your community, they’ve got a role for you. In 2017, volunteers prepared over 900 returns for Tioga County residents.
With the help of volunteers, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax-filing help to those who need it most. They are looking for compassionate and friendly individuals to join their team of local volunteers for the upcoming tax season.
Volunteers will receive training and continued support, and as the current volunteers describe, you’ll not only learn new skills, but also get a great feeling from helping someone else.
Learn to prepare taxes and make a difference in your community at the same time. They offer free tax preparation help to anyone, with special attention to older, low-income taxpayers.
