28th Annual Hiawatha Island Father’s Day Breakfast, 9 to 11 a.m., Waterman Center Boat Dock, Western end of Marshland Road, Apalachin. Last boat leaves at 11 a.m. The cost is $20 per person, $30 per couple, and ages five to 12 are $10; under age five is free. Reservations are required and payment must be received by June 15. Workshop with Mercia Stocking, entitled “Ribbon Embroidery Corsage”, will take place at the Bement Billings Farmstead in Newark Valley. Learn steps in this wearable, historic needle art form, and create a corsage. The workshop will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All materials will be provided, and the cost is $25 for Newark Valley Historical Society members, and $30 for non-members.
