An Owego man is behind bars this weekend following an investigation into two separate complaints received on Chestnut Street in Owego on Friday.
Upon investigation, Nicholas R. Whitmarsh, age 24 of Owego, N.Y., was subsequently arrested and charged with Burglary in the Second Degree, a Class C Felony; Robbery in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony; and Fourth Degree credit card, a Class E Felony.
Whitmarsh was apprehended on Saturday by the Owego Police Department and with assistance from the Tioga County Sheriff’s Department.
He was arraigned in the Town of Newark Valley Court and remanded to the Tioga County Jail in lieu of $40,000 cash or $80,000 bail bond.
