The Tioga County Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, Inc. (TCCASA) wants to remind the young people of Tioga County who will be attending proms this spring to “Think Before You Drink”.
Executive Director of TCCASA, Christie Speciale says, “We hope to influence Tioga County’s youth to make healthy positive choices this prom season.”
TCCASA has partnered with local participating florists to put reminder cards in corsage and boutonniere boxes. Each card depicts a scene of an alcohol-related car crash that occurred on a prom night. TCCASA is also working closely with Owego Free Academy and the Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) program to distribute these reminder cards to their fellow students.
