Red Cross to host Military Family Salute Brunch on April 2

The American Red Cross will be hosting a Military Family Salute Brunch on Saturday April 2, from 10a.m. to noon at the American Legion in Vestal, N.Y. Retired U.S. Army Sergeant Rick Yarosh will serve as guest speaker for this event.

While serving in the war in Iraq, Yarosh was severely injured by a roadside bomb, and spent six months recovering at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He is now a motivational speaker, with a message of overcoming adversity and turning a negative situation into a positive one. For more information on Yarosh, visit www.rickyarosh.net.

The Military Family Salute Brunch is for military families, veterans and reservists. In addition to a free brunch, attendees will have an opportunity to meet other local military families, learn about additional Red Cross services, as well as what services are available from other organizations.
