On Saturday, Feb. 20, my wife and I attended another outstanding presentation by the Owego Apalachin Music Department. This year it was Leonard Bernstein’s musical “Wonderful Town”.
Each and every one of the student actors did a superb job of portraying their roles of life in New York City during the mid 30’s. The vocals were pitch perfect and powerful and we were amazed how well they sang for young adults.
The student orchestra didn’t miss a note and played their arrangements with gusto. The costumes and backdrops magically brought that time era back to life before our very eyes..
I want to thank the students, staff and volunteers for such a wonderful show and an enjoyable evening out.
Looking forward to next year and another awesome performance.
