Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County (CCE Tioga) is offering three Save Energy Save Dollars classes for county residents during the month of February.
The interactive classes, presented by staff from CCE Chemung, are open to the public and free of charge.
Participants will learn about lowering energy bills, low-cost and no-cost actions to reduce energy usage, and programs in Tioga County for qualifying households.
Each class lasts approximately two hours, and participants who complete the class will receive a free gift to help him or her get started on saving energy and dollars at home.
Classes will be held in Nichols, Owego and Spencer over the next two weeks. On Tuesday, Feb. 2 and 10 a.m., the class will take place at the Community Care Network of Nichols. On Friday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m., the class will take place at the Presbyterian Church in Spencer. On Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m., the class will take place at the Countryside Community Center in Owego.
