Missionary Sister Mary Felice to present on the Congo

Missionary Sister Mary Felice, pictured at St. Patrick’s Church, will offer a presentation on the Congo on April 26.

Home on vacation, Missionary Sister Mary Felice will give a slide presentation of her work in the Congo at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 26, in St. Patrick’s Church Hall after the 9 a.m. Mass. She is a Sister of the Daughters of Charity and an Internal Medicine Doctor.

The Newark Valley native has been a missionary/doctor in the Congo for the past nine years. Her experience includes work in the HIV treatment program amongst the very poor there. Sister says there are always more people in need of basic essentials – food, health care, education, housing – and her efforts give her much joy in helping those she can.
