Dear Editor,
I am writing this letter to support Ann Lockwood, who is currently seeking reelection as Village trustee. Ann is a life long resident of Owego and I have had the pleasure of knowing Ann for many years as a friend and neighbor.
She has successfully served the community for many years and has shown she has the utmost integrity and commitment to the village as a trustee. She has been a voice of reason and intelligence during the difficult times that our village has recently experienced.
She was a leader in the flood recovery of 2006 and 2011 and still works diligently on making certain that those efforts continue. She has been an active supporter of the Owego Fire Department and has made certain that it continues to move in a positive direction in a safe and responsible manner.
She has been an active volunteer in several organizations including, but not limited to Meals on Wheels and Tioga County Rural Ministry.
Ann cares about the village and the residents. She takes the time to listen to people and look at the issues from multiple perspectives. Ann asks the questions that need to be answered and makes decisions based on the truth and not on hearsay or conjecture. She is a person who puts service above self, the way it should be.
Please give Ann the opportunity to serve our community for another term. She will work toward moving our village in a positive direction.
