Tioga County Senior Citizen’s Foundation recently awarded Catholic Charities Tompkins / Tioga, Tioga Outreach Center, a $4,000.00 grant to assist seniors in emergency situations such as utility terminations, rent arrears, heating fuel assistance, and security deposits.
In addition, a small portion of these funds will go to help the Catholic Charities Tioga Outreach Center to organize a countywide collaboration on an awareness and action campaign regarding the financial abuse of elders by family members.
Catholic Charities is thankful to the Tioga County Senior Citizen’s Foundation for this grant to be able to provide these services and information for our seniors.
